Southampton Volleyball Club is a non-profit, member-based sports organisation, run by committee of dedicated volunteers. Formed as a merger of Solent Volleyball Club (founded in 1976) and Team Southampton, the club has provided volleyball opportunities to its members for more than three decades. Over the course of the club's history we have fielded Men's and Ladies' teams at nearly all levels of national and local competition.

There are currently two Men's teams competing in Divison I and Division III of the National Volleyball League (NVL), and a two Ladies' team in Division III. For Hampshire Volleyball Association (HVA) we expect to have two Ladies' teams, and one Men's team, with a junior Ladies' team and a junior Men's team. For the Southampton and District Volleyball Association (SADVA) league we have Men's, Ladies' and Mixed teams in their respective league competitions.

Southampton Volleyball Club is affiliated to Southampton and District Volleyball Association (SADVA) and Hampshire Volleyball Association (HVA), as well as the English Volleyball Association (EVA).
